2021 SUMMER MATH COURSES

All courses will start on Tuesday, June 8th and will end on Thursday, July 15th.  We will have online, 90 minute-long sessions 3-days a week. (Tuesday-Thursday) Students should have a computer with a camera, a microphone, and internet access.

PRE-COMPETITION MATH

Intended for rising 2nd grade students. Using the Beast Academy Online 2nd grade curriculum as the base, the course will strengthen the foundation of students. Emphasis will be given to arithmetic fluency.

BEGINNER ELEMENTARY COMPETITION MATH

Intended for rising 3rd & 4th grade students with little to no competition experience. Using the Beast Academy Online 4th grade curriculum as the base, the course will strengthen the foundation of students. Sprint Style questions will be introduced.

ADVANCED ELEMENTARY COMPETITION MATH

Intended for rising 4th & 5th grade students with significant drive and competition experience. The later topics of AOPS Pre-Algebra book, such as Arithmetic Properties, Exponents, Fraction and Expressions will be the main focus. Increased focus on Target Round style questions.

BEGINNER MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPETITION MATH

Intended for rising 6th grade students planning to compete in MATHCOUNTS, Mathleague, AMC 8  and other middle school competitions. The course will focus on common question types and competition styles. New topics and ideas will be introduced through school or chapter level questions.

ADVANCED MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPETITION MATH

Intended for rising 7th & 8th grade students competing in MATHCOUNTS, Mathleague, AMC 8/10  and other middle or high school competitions. The course will focus on common question types and competition styles. New topics and ideas will be introduced through chapter, state or national level questions.

COMPETITION ALGEBRA

Intended for students who will take Algebra 1 course next school year using AOPS Intro to Algebra text book. The course will assume most students will compete in Mu Alpha Theta Algebra competition.

COMPETITION GEOMETRY

Intended for students who will take Geometry course next school year using AOPS Intro to Geometry text book. The course will assume most students will compete in Mu Alpha Theta Geometry competition.

COUNTING & PROBABILITY

The course is intended to teach Counting & Probability topics to students who are serious about math competitions , such as MATHCOUNTS, Mathleague, AMC 8/10. The course will use AOPS Counting & Probability text book, and should help with SAT/ACT as well.

SAT MATH

Intended for 8th - 11th grade students who'd like to increase their SAT Math score.
